Hello Mini Lit Clan!
This week we covered a classic in all respects: “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley. We had the always brainy bookworm Brianne Blaisdell with us who helped us pick apart the themes of the modern Prometheus, obsession, and man playing God. Give it a listen and don’t forget to join us next week as we cover “The Crucible” by Arthur Miller.
This week we covered “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding. With the help of Tom Sorenson, we discussed the merits of society and savagery alike, the descent of man into depravity, and its possible inevitability. Not to mention some great Mini Bits that you can get the same messages and themes. Stay tuned next week for our newest episode on “Frankenstein.”
This week’s episode covers “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” by Douglas Adams! We had a lot of fun putting this one together as it’s one of Abbie’s favorite books. Hunter Kozak joined us and helped dissect the themes, including cosmic horror, nihilism, and the optimism of the human race.
Hope you guys enjoy it! Keep in touch for next week’s episode, too: The Lord of the Flies.
